Learn how to play keyboard now!
Dear Visitors, Thank you for taking time to view my website.
I’m specialized in teaching contemporary music using keyboard (which includes Chinese & English Pop Songs, KPop as well as Church Music).
I hope the following information might help you to decide.
The beginner keyboard course lasts about 6-9 months, which includes basic fingering techniques, fundamental music theory, sight reading, basic chord progression, song application and ear training exposure.
Thereafter, you can move on to intermediate keyboard course, which will likely take you another 9-12 months. The main components at intermediate level are more fingering techniques, chord voicing, chord improvisation, chord progression using new chords i.e. playing block & broken enhanced chords. At the same time, I will teach how you can form your own melody in songs, use fill ins and colour chords to make your songs more interesting.
For the advance keyboard course, it can stretch to another 9-15 months. The main parts in this level are dynamics i.e. the language of emotions, transposition, modulation, other enhanced chords using 9, 11 & 13, how to create intros, interludes and nice endings for your songs, ear training, other rhythms etc. And mostly excitingly, training you to play by ear without any song sheets! This is every musicians dream!
*Most importantly, throughout the keyboard courses, you will be able to select your favourite songs (English Pop, Mandarin Pop, Korean Pop, Oldies, Church Praise & Worship) to play on keyboard, and I will go through them with you.
Time & Rate: The time and duration of the keyboard lessons are flexible – limited mornings, evenings and weekends slots are still available.
For the rate, I have a few schemes and lesson packages to choose from in order to meet your learning needs, schedule and budget.
